Elizabeth Zevin is a Special Effects Technician at J&M Special Effects. Previously she has worked as a Freelance Props Artisan at The Steppenwolf, and Opera Theater of St. Louis after working as the Assistant Props Master at the Maltz Jupiter Theater. Prior to that she as the Props Master for a season at the Berkshire Theatre Group and Props Designed two productions for CAP 21 in New York City, meanwhile freelancing as a Properties Artisan at BB Props and an FX Technician at J&M Special Effects. 

Her education consists of a BFA from Emerson College in Design/Technical Theater with an emphasis in props, and a graduate level Technical Internship Certification from Yale School of Drama where she studied properties as well. 

Elizabeth has previously interned at several reputable institutions. While at Yale she interned for both the Jim Henson Company and J&M Special Effects. Prior to that she had many other notable internships. The summer after her freshman year in college she interned with Edward Pierce at his Scenic Associates Studio in New York City. The next year she assisted Ronald DeMarco with the bi-yearly Boston Early Music Festival production of Poppea, and the following summer she worked on three shows as the Props Intern at Central City Opera in Central City, Colorado. Her most recent work was as the Assistant Prop Master for the Boston Early Music Festival's production of Niobe, Queen of Thebes, working along side Prop Master Ron DeMarco. Her last apprenticeship before attending Yale was at Goodspeed Musicals.

In addition to building and propping shows, Elizabeth enjoys personal crafts such as needlepoint, clay working, jewelry making and baking.
